Grant Application Process
If you are applying for a grant for an organization that represents the theology of the SOMA Foundation Statement of Faith, you may apply using the process below.
Board meetings are held quarterly in March, June, September, and December. Applications must be received by February 1, May 1, August 1, or November 1 to be considered. Requests received later will be held until the next Board meeting.
HOW TO APPLY
The SOMA Foundation has moved to an online grant process, using Foundant as our online grants management system. All stages of our grant process will be submitted online. Paper applications will not be accepted. Grantees will have the ability to draft, save, and submit online as well as upload all required documents and reports, such as budgets and financial information. Below you will find the steps to our process along with other helpful information.
Online submission process:
-
You will be asked to create an account when you begin the application process by creating an email login and password. This login will be used by your organization for all application and follow-up documents.
-
There are currently three grant categories available for application. Choose the one that matches your request category and complete the application.
-
Please note some application fields have limits to number of characters or file sizes that may be uploaded.
-
Please save your application often as you complete it.
-
Keep in mind that any documents you upload to the application will not be saved until you actually submit the application.
